Patsy Depietro

Patsy was the man, just that old age caught up with him
he knew his pigeons and how to fly them
he is sadly missed by me, and i think of him often

Patsy J. DePietro, 88, of Olyphant Pennsylvania, died March 30
2005 in the Mercy Hospital Scranton Pa. His wife, the former
Margaret P. Loftus, died Oct. 5, 2004
Born in Jessup Pa, the son of the late Vito and Maria Giordanio
DePietro, he attended Jessup schools. He lived in Morrisville
Pennsylvania for 28 years and Olyphant Pa for the past 20 years.
He was a former coal miner and retired from U.S. Steel Corp.,
Fairless Hills. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church,
Olyphant Pa.
He was Life member of the International Federation of American
Homing Pigeon Fanciers Inc. He was a former member of the
Bristol Pigeon Club Morrisville Pennsylvania and The Scranton
Pigeon Club Scranton Pa. His life was raising and racing
pigeons. Patsy was the kind of fellow every one liked and he was
a force to be reckoned with on race day. His family of old
Schofield's bred many winners for Patsy and his friends. He will
surely be missed. When Patsy stopped racing these past few years
he never missed a race at my loft. He is one person who enjoyed
life and the pigeon sport was a big part of his life.
Surviving are a sister, Phalomanis LaFramboise, Trenton, N.J.;
nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews. Six
brothers preceded him in death.
The funeral was private from the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home,
445 Sanderson St., Throop Pa., with Mass in St. Patrick's
Church, Olyphant Pa. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery Scranton Pa
