Walsh loft Congratulates Don for
his
2004 Desert Classic winner in
Florida bred from a pair of Walsh birds
Don Goodwin of
Lackawaxen Pa, formally of Long Island NY
has passed away peacefully on November 23, 2008 following a long
illness. Leaving a loving wife Janet, daughters Cathy and Jennifer,
Sons Donald and Sean. A devoted and loving father, grandfather, and
uncle. He was a racing pigeon fancier for over 50 years. Don was a
member of the (SVN) Sullivan
County
Pigeon Club
Fallsburg, NY
and the International Federation. He flew birds in the Long Island
racing pigeon clubs before his retirement and move to Pennsylvania. .
A humble man, Don will be remembered by the lives he touched, for his
gentle unassuming manner, his extraordinary intellect. Don was a
regular at I.F Convention’s and Pigeon Social events in the North
East. He will surely be missed by his many friends across the nation.
Each day I think of him. I am sure going to miss Him as he was a great
friend.
